As a resident medical educator, you have access to faculty workshops, plus exclusive access to the Residents as Teachers program, a BC-wide initiative offered by UBC Faculty of Medicine Office of Faculty Development.
Regardless of where you’re located in the Vancouver Island region, you’re welcome to attend all workshops. For those working in rural or remote locations, you may be eligible for a travel subsidy.
To be eligible for Faculty Development, you must:
- Educate UBC undergraduate students; and
- Work in the Vancouver Island region.
Residents as Teachers
During your residency period, the Residents as Teachers (RaT) program will train you in core teaching competency areas.
