IMP Student Launches Canada’s Doctors Orchestra

Andrew Loe (IMP Class of 2029) didn’t know how to pursue both music and medicine until doctors orchestras showed him the way. He founded the Canadian Doctors Orchestra to play music, create community, and inspire wellness with other healthcare professionals. Sarah Draheim (IMP Class of 2029), IMP Year 1 & 2 Site Director Dr. Amita Modi, and UBC clinical faculty Dr. Terry Tam are among those who decided to join the ensemble. Read More >

Small Changes, Big Improvements

Justin Blackman (IMP Class of 2027) placed third in the Quality Improvement Project category of the abstract competition at the Canadian Association of Radiologists 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting. The abstract, which he co-authored with Dr. Vamshi Kotha, described a project that reduced wait times for outpatient liver biopsies by more than 60 per cent. Read More >
