What is the Mentor Program?
The Mentor Program pairs a medical student with a physician in the community. Mentors can help students with short-term learning objectives or long-term career goals, offer guidance on personal matters, provide networking opportunities, and support students in areas such as communication, flexibility, and teamwork.
Some students and their mentors meet for tea and a chat, while others share in sports activities, such as fishing or horseback riding. Students find their mentors to be a great resource for helping them to survive the rigors of medical education. Many physicians find mentorship to be a rewarding and invigorating experience.
