UBC MD Undergraduate Program Launches New Admissions Pathway for Black Students
Beginning this summer, Black applicants to UBC’s MD Undergraduate Program will have the opportunity to apply through this pathway and, as part of the admissions process, have their application essay reviewed by a sub-committee comprised of Black stakeholders from the B.C. medical community.

IMP Student Studies Recent Intervention on Frontlines of BC’s Overdose Response Efforts
This summer, Damian Feldman-Kiss (IMP Class of 2022) led a qualitative research project evaluating the use of pulse oximeters—small, portable devices that measure pulse rate and blood oxygen levels—to supplement overdose response efforts in BC.
Patient Program Needs Virtual Volunteers for 2020/21
Though the IMP Patient Program has gone virtual due to COVID-19, the program coordinator is still looking for volunteers of all ages, genders, and levels of health to help train MD students.
