Alison White (IMP Class of 2025) is seeking physicians to participate in a study examining burnout in healthcare professionals.
The study, which is a FLEX project supervised by Dr. Jane Gair and Dr. Olav Krigolson, will be conducted by a research team made up of individuals from the UBC MD Undergraduate Program and the UVic Division of Medical Sciences.
The study will be conducted both online and in Victoria, and will include self-report questionnaires, EEG testing using a MUSE headset, an online course covering topics and activities related to stress and burnout in healthcare professionals, journaling, and an optional telephone interview.
Participants are free to step away from the study at any time, resources for counseling services will be provided, and the course will be taught by a qualified instructor.
