Dr. Fiona Manning (she/her) attended medical school at the University of Calgary. After medical school, she came home to British Columbia to complete residency training in family medicine. Dr. Manning’s clinical expertise is in care of the elderly, and she continues to work with a community-based multidisciplinary team. She has worked with University of British Columbia (UBC) postgraduate medicine in faculty development and as a family practice site director. Dr. Manning was a teacher with the Island Medical Program (IMP) prior to her current role as the IMP Assistant Dean of Student Affairs. Prior to medicine, Dr. Manning was a physiotherapist and completed a Master’s degree at UBC.
