Dr. Amita Modi completed her Bachelor of Science honours degree in physiology and her MD at the University of British Columbia (UBC), followed by a residency in family medicine. She later received a diploma in sport medicine (CASEM). Her involvement with undergraduate education and with the Island Medical Program (IMP) began in 2005. She was the OSCE Pillar Lead for the UBC MD Undergraduate Program from 2014 – 2020 and is currently a Master Teacher, Year 3 OSCE Site Lead, and Year 4 Clerkship Director with IMP. She loves travel and hiking with her family and plays violin in the Victoria Chamber Orchestra.
